D-686 OPTICAL CUBES
Model D-686 Optical Cubes are used in the laboratory or wherever a master reference, master locator, or master calibrator is needed for precise work. Made of the best quality quartz, the five working surfaces are polished and flat to 1/10th wave length of mercury 5461Å and mutually orthogonal within 2 arc seconds.
- Master reference to establish planes 90° to each other
- Five faces mutually orthogonal within 2 arc seconds
- Adjustable base simplifies alignment
- Certification of accuracy traceable to NIST
Precision tilt adjustment is quickly and accurately obtained by adjusting the leveling screws (120 threads per inch). For tests, this instrument excels in establishing planes at 90° to each other, in verifying lines of sight and in qualifying optical axes at 90°.
