Greyscale/Colorbar Test Pattern Slide

The Optoliner Colorbar/Greyscale Test Pattern Slide facilitates the standardization of both the luminance and color response of cameras. This slide combines two precision test patterns - a SMPTE colorbar and a crossed greyscale. The slide, which has the same dimensions as all other Optoliner slides, provides both the conventional 3:4 and the new high definition 9:16 aspect ratio formats through the use of arrowheads.

Serialized actual component IRE and colorimetry data for the colorbar pattern and density and transmittance data for the greyscale pattern as well as a Certificate of Calibration are provided with each colorbar/greyscale test pattern slide.

TECHNICAL DATA

Although the slide colors are made to the same CIE coordinates as specified for the SMPTE phosphors, calibration data for NTSC or EBU phosphor chromaticities are available. Color accuracy to within 5 CIE LUV E* units ensures that, for an accurately set up camera, the signals produced by the OC colorbar pattern slide will fall within their respective inner vectorscope boxes at 0.4 gamma.
