The Digital Plano Interferometer Model D-305 incorporates a removable high-resolution Digital Camera onto a 3 position turret eyepiece consisting of an eyepiece for visual observation, a Filar Micrometer Eyepiece for accurate measurement of fringe intervals and the camera position for obtaining permanent digital interferograms.  Extra attachments and accessories are no longer necessary.

 

 

 

 

The advanced design of this instrument provides the capability for assembly line and non-technical personnel to accurately measure surface flatness to 0.000 001 inch, with permanent records for future reference.  One fringe = 0.000 012 4 inches or 0.000 316 mm.
