DISK INTERFEROMETER -- D-329

D-329 Disc InterferometerDavidson Optronics, Inc.'s design staff has developed this instrument to meet the computer industries' need for measuring the flatness of computer discs quickly and accurately.  The resultant Disk Interferometer -- D-329 is easy to operate, usable without specialized training and inexpensive.  These goals were accomplished by combining over 35 years of precision optics design and manufacturing know-how with state of the art advancement in interferometry.

Applications:
Disk Interferometer -- D-329 is ideal for non-contact, nondestructive testing of computer disks at the helium neon laser wavelength (632.8 nm).  Its specially designed horizontal configuration gives the D-329 built in vibration control.  For most applications no vibration isolation equipment is necessary.  This design feature makes the D-329 ideal for use in manufacturing and quality control areas.  Also, the small foot-print (26 x 17 inches) makes it perfectly suited for locations where there are space restrictions.

Laser Beam WarningThe D-329 requires no setup.  It is ready to use directly from its shipping container.  Just plug in the monitor and instrument and the D-329 is ready to start working for you.  It has been designed to be used in a continuous or off and on operational basis.

Operation of the D-329 is easy and can be mastered in just a few minutes.  To test a disk simply attach it to the holder and then overlap the two dots displayed on the monitor.  The disk's fringe pattern will then be seen on the monitor.  This entire procedure takes only a few seconds!
