PLANO INTERFEROMETER -- D-327

The Plano  Interferometer D-327 is an optical instrument for measuring flatness of polished surfaces where 2X magnification is advantageous.  Non-technical personnel can make accurate measurements on reflective surfaces.

Model D-327 Plano Interferometer

With this instrument there is no physical contact between the master reference and the surface to be measured, thus eliminating the use of costly optical flats that must be replaced when worn.

    Features:
    • No vibration table required in most cases
    • 2X magnification over 2½" working aperture
    • Measures flatness to 0.000 001"
    • Eliminate costly optical flats
    • Operation simplicity cut set-up time
    • No physical contact between master reference and selected surface
    • Certification of accuracy traceable to National Institute of Standards and Technology

For more theory of operation, please refer to the Principles of Interferometry Application Note.
