The Helium Neon Laser (632.8 nm) Attachment Kit has been designed to fit all the following Davidson Optronics Interferometers: D-302, D-304, D-305, D-308, D-309, D-311, D-312, and D-321.

This option is a factory installed to meet BRH requirements.  It is interchangeable with the Mercury Lamp.  This increased intensity gives sharper fringes with increased distance from the divider plate to the test part and smaller areas can be observed.

When this laser attachment is added to an interferometer, the optics are cleaned, the instrument is reconditioned and its accuracy is verified to the National Institute of Standards and Technology.  Also, the laser output will be measured and recorded.

When the decision is made to add this laser to a Davidson Optronics interferometer, also consider adding the Fringe Analysis System.  See Part Number 104-0150 for details.

Customers with Model D-305 Interferometers will get interferograms in 1-3 seconds exposure time.
