The 104-0170, Digital Upgrade Kit allows existing Davidson Optronics Autocollimator Models D-638, D-652 and D-656 to have all the digital functionality of the New Model D-720, Digital Two-Axis Autocollimator. Manual provided with the system assumes the user has a basic understanding of autocollimation and computer hardware and software.

The Part Number 104-0170 replaces the autocollimator eyepiece assembly with an areal video sensor. The included software allows results to be viewed in real-time, statistically analyzed and stored for later reference. The program includes routines for the measurement of angles about orthogonal axes, optical wedges, 90° prism errors, telescope angles and others. Certificates documenting test results are automatically generated.
